Inspections and surveys
Inspection sketches that go straight into the report.
Locate defects, dimension structural members and note what you saw — on the photo itself, while still on site. No more scribbled photos attached to the report.
Where it helps
Everyday situations
Building inspection
Mark cracks, leaks and detachments on the photo of the façade or room, with a callout and a position dimension.
Structural survey
Dimension beam and column sections, plate thickness, bolt diameters and tie rods of steel roofs.
Defect reports
One numbered sketch per defect, with the same style on every sheet of the report.
Construction and lending inspections
Record the stage of the works with verified measurements and clear notes for the report.
In practice
From the frame photo to the appendix sketch.
- Automatic lines over beams, chords and posts — clean up the rest with the eraser.
- Circle for bolts and holes, with a diameter dimension in one tap.
- Callouts with technical notes: “6 mm plate”, “corrosion”, “through crack”.
- Ink background for clean printing, or a faded photo for context.
- A4 PDF ready for the photo appendix; DXF for the location plan.

Questions
Common questions
Can I number the sketches in my report?
Yes. Name each sketch (e.g. “Sketch 03 — Frame P4”); the name appears in the PDF header.
How do I measure a small part, like a bolt?
Zoom in on the part and detect lines only in the visible area — detection uses full resolution there. Then use the circle and the diameter dimension.
Does the sketch prove a measurement?
The sketch documents the measurements you entered on site. Values derived from the photo scale are approximate and valid in the image plane; check critical ones with a tape.
Start with your next sketch.
Open it in your phone's browser, take the photo and dimension it. Nothing to install — and you can add it to your home screen.
